WHO WE ARE
Amberwood Animals is a sanctuary dedicated to providing refuge for animals typically regarded as farmed animals. It was founded in 2021 by Mark Wakeling.
Our current residents include 38 sheep, 5 pigs, and 7 cows. Our primary mission is to offer the highest standard of care, ensuring that every animal here can live a long, healthy life - a life free from slaughter and exploitation in any form.
We are equally committed to creating a space for human education, connection and healing through compassionate care and service to our animal residents.
Located on part of a former beef farm in Oxfordshire, Amberwood Animals is proud to be a registered UK charity.

Mable, Bella, Piglet, Pooh and Olive - All with uniquely strong minds and never ending appetites!
38 BEAUTIFUL SHEEP
Nettle, Dave, Amber, Walter, Bramble to name a few... Don't be fooled by those who say sheep are stupid - this diverse flock show how intellegent they are!
GEMMIE AND 2 CATS
Gemmie the Collie whose work ethic surpasses any other being alive and Jack and Louie the cats who aren't so bothered about any of that!
